Anku and Gurdeep's session was so unique from engagement sessions I've done in the past in the best ways. When Anku reached out to me she was so proactive with planning out every little detail with me to achieve the dream aesthetic. In addition, her and Gurdeep are in a long distance relationship, London to Virginia, and he was coming to visit for a short window of time during the holiday season. That said, we had to act fast and have a solid plan, and as a team, we pulled it off!

What I didn't anticipate was that Gurdeep had done some planning himself! He had picked out the most stunning engagement ring to officially propose to Anku, and told me just about five minutes before he got down on one knee. It was such a beautiful, emotional moment, and I am so thrilled that I got to document it for the two of them.

These are truly some of my favorite images that I've ever made, and I am so grateful to have connected with Anku and Gurdeep- the love they share just felt so natural and it's obvious that in addition to being in love, you can tell that they're also best friends.

For Anku and Gurdeep's session, we started at the National Gallery of Art, then went over to Le Diplomate French Cafe, and finished up outside on 14th Street NW where Gurdeep had rented a vintage Porsche! Vibes on 100.

I've absolutely been loving doing more work in DC over the last year or so, I can't wait to do more!
